Invasive cardiology deals with identifying and clearing the blockages in the coronary blood vessels. This involves acquiring knowledge about the blocked blood vessels of the heart (via an invasive diagnostic procedure called Angiographies) and removing them (via interventional procedures of Angioplasty or Stenting). Two high-resolution Cardiac Catheterization labs, one being the latest flat panel technology, the first ever in Pakistan, are operational here performing a full range of invasive procedures like:
- Coronary, Carotid and Renal Angiographies
- Coronary and Peripheral Angioplasty/Stenting
- Balloon Mitral and Pulmonary Valvuloplasty
